Willow Cottage
Willow Cottage is the wing to the main house once owned by the comedian and author Spike Milligan. Newly renovated and fully refurbished to a high modern standard, with a new kitchen and two new bathrooms.
We have a stunning location here with almost panoramic views of the coastline, it’s easy to see why when he needed to relax that his wife Shelagh decided this would be the perfect spot.
We are situated just outside of Rye and across the valley from the picturesque village of Winchelsea, which is a true untouched gem of an English Village. A particularly good time to visit is during English National Garden weeks as there are many open gardens in the village and other parts of the area take part also.
With the stunning beaches of Camber and Winchelsea almost on the doorstep or if its country walks or steam trains that take your fancy we have it all in the area. Never mind a host of excellent public houses and eateries, not to mention the freshly caught local seafood.
Willow Cottage has its own secure terrace and garden with two seating areas and also a gas BBQ. Having dogs ourselves we have long felt it important that the guest garden is secure as it can be. While staying at Willow Cottage guests will be the only people to have access to that garden.
There are two parking spaces to the front of the cottage.
